EMEA Marketing Manager, London

Role Summary

Things are on the up at Wandera. We’re growing fast, winning awards and going places. European markets have been a key part of that growth, and our expansion plans for the region are ambitious. We’re looking for a skilful and big-thinking marketer that can develop and execute a strategy to support our efforts across continental Europe.

That will mean creating marketing plans for regions like France, Spain, Italy and Germany, working with the sales team, channel team and local partners to work out the best blend of activities to deliver meaningful results.

You will own a budget for these markets, and will work as part of a collaborative, global marketing team that genuinely enjoys working together.

Your responsibilities
  • Ownership of the marketing strategy in non-English markets, including French, German, Spanish, Dutch and Italian.
  • Management of a marketing budget to be used for generating demand and building awareness of Wandera across Europe
  • Developing fruitful relationships with your counterparts at key partners, such as Orange, Deutsche Telekom and Vodafone
  • Decision making and influence over our events calendar in these markets, as well as responsibility to ensure a smooth execution with positive ROI
  • Oversight and development of non-English web assets, working with the design team to produce web content that resonates with your target audience
  • Reporting on performance in a variety of areas – including demand, PR, SEO, website, social media and email marketing
  • Working with a network of agencies and freelancers to ensure materials are translated and necessary work is outsourced to a high standard.
Your skills and experience
  • This role does not require fluency in any language in particular, but German and/or French is a big advantage. Spanish and Italian also desirable. English-only speakers may struggle with this role.
  • A competence and familiarity with a B2B environment, with at least a basic understanding of CRM, finance processes and marketing analytics.
  • An ability to produce quality content at pace. Those with strong writing backgrounds and confidence in using PowerPoint will fit right in.
  • An authentic hunger for success and self-improvement, and an autonomous attitude to working. Fresh ideas will always be considered, and the culture of our team encourages both risk-taking and creativity.
  • A background in mobility, telco or security will definitely help, but those that have worked at B2B tech startups will also be well suited to this role

  • Development of A/B testing and other innovative experimentation across website, email, advertising and so on – making sure the marketing function is in a state of constant improvement

  • Accountability for SEO and parts of content marketing. We want to grow our organic search performance and currently work with an agency. Your job will be to accelerate our growth in this area.
  • Writing content as it pertains to the responsibilities above.
Your skills and experience

We’re not big believers imagining the perfect candidate before we’ve met them – it’s hard to imagine exact person you’ll marry until you actually meet them. But there are some thing we think are important in being able to do this job to a high standard.

  • A solid understanding of metrics, including familiarity of tools like Google Analytics, Marketo, Excel and Salesforce.
  • A mind that can draw insights from data, and is motivated to run experiments and hunt for better ways of doing things
  • An ability to articulate complicated things crisply, mostly to internal stakeholders but these communications skills will ideally extend to writing, producing punchy, compelling web copy.
  • Experience with SEO, advertising and other marketing concepts. We’re looking for a domain expert that can help develop the rest of the team too.
