DevOps Engineer

Role Summary

Wandera are looking to hire a permanent Ops Engineer to join our growing team of technologists to help run our cloud services platform. You will have 3-5 years knowledge of all things Ops including system admin, scripting, configuration management, rapid deployment, SQL/NoSQL, TCP/IP, Networks, Agile & monitoring in either private clouds or on EC2/Rackspace type environments.

Responsibilities and Skills
  • Bash and Ruby + frameworks are essential. HTML5/CSS/Jscript advantageous.
  • Automation skills and operational programming to a high level.
  • Linux/LAMP stack skills including Ubuntu/Apache/Postgres/Squid/Puppet.
  • Monitoring and metrics exposure for alerting and trending like Nagios and ZenOSS.
  • Public cloud exposure – you will have used platforms like AWS and Rackspace and will have a great understanding of how to run, operate and deploy to obtain high availability and high performance.
  • Some SQL/noSQL skills will be advantageous but not essential.
  • Good communications skills, elegant and legible scripting, documenting to a high level.

Technical Account Manager

Role Summary

Wandera are looking to hire a Technical Account Manager to join our growing team to help support and build a world class customer support organization. You will ideally have been part of a support organization in your previous roles where you will have demonstrated leadership and change and excelled at ensuring customers are given superb levels of service along with good technical skills ideally in the mobile device space. You will have excellent English and written grammar as you will be interacting with the business and our global customer base on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities and Skills
  • Proven ability in delivering global cloud-based services with a project management-oriented mindset and with excellent levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to understand a customer’s technical requirements and advise on the appropriate delivery methodology for the Wandera Secure Mobile Gateway platform
  • A strong technical background to diagnose customer problems and convey details back to the business through a deep technical understanding of our service.
  • Superb communication/social skills to engage with both technical and non-technical contacts across all mediums but primarily email, telephone, chat and video conferencing.
  • Attention to detail while managing multiple problems though to completion with high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • An ability to produce metrics/reports/dashboards to prove how successful you and the team are.

Wandera are looking to hire a Software Engineer / Java Developer to join our growing team of technologists to help build our Secure Mobile Gateway platform. You will be at the top of your game, focusing on High Performance core Java, underlying network topologies and protocols, and with a broad range of experience in all things cloud including big data and globally distributed systems. You will be a highly motivated, keen and pragmatic developer who is up for a challenge in this fast paced, demanding environment.

Responsibilities and Skills
  • High Performance core Java – proven development ability using Java in high performance, scalable systems.
  • Network Protocols – a deep understanding of all things TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, etc
  • RESTful APIs – solid abilities here. Ideally you will build APIs for breakfast
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, elegant and legible coding
  • A minimum 2:1 B.Sc. in a computing discipline is required.

Javascript Developer

Role Summary

Wandera are looking to hire a JavaScript Developer to join our growing team of technologists to help build our Secure Mobile Gateway platform. You will be at the top of your game, and with a broad range of experience in all things cloud including big data and globally distributed systems. You will be a highly motivated, keen and pragmatic developer who is up for a challenge in this fast paced, demanding environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop modular, performant, and maintainable SPA utilizing REST API
  • Define frontend platform architecture
  • Co-operate with backend teams on feature design and delivery
  • Continuously improve quality of codebase through refactoring
  • Provide insight into current best practices for frontend web development and help to drive decisions around framework and tool choices
  • Monitor, identify, and squash performance bottlenecks
  • Perform code reviews
  • Help onboard and mentor junior engineers to advance their frontend knowledge and skillset
Experience and Skills
  • 5 years of experience developing frontend heavy web apps
  • Full stack development experience welcomed (namely with PHP on the backend)
  • Degree in a Computer Science related discipline or equivalent
  • Solid knowledge of algorithms and data structures, best coding practices, design patterns, security and performance optimizations
  • Keeping pace with new ES6/ES7 standards and progress in browser APIs
  • Proficient in two JS frameworks (ideally backbone + React or Polymer)

QA Engineer

Role Summary

Skills and Experience
  • High levels of energy and enthusiasm and a natural drive for quality
  • 2-3 years QA experience
  • Proven ability to work within a fast paced, Agile delivery
  • Produce and execute test cases and test scripts
  • Experience running cross platform testing (Mobile, app etc.)
  • High level of flexibility – essential for working in a growing engineering team.
  • Previous experience of testing mobile apps is desirable but not essential
  • Experience working with any of the following technologies would be preferable: Java, Javascript, SQL DBs, noSQL DBs, iOS, Android, RESTful APIs
