We are pleased to start the new decade with a revitalized brand — a striking transition to a Mobius-inspired band that symbolizes our unified cloud security for the new enterprise edge. This marks a significant milestone for Wandera as we redefine security for mobile enterprises

We operate in a world of constant change, and this is what drives us. The threat landscape is constantly evolving, and so are the needs of the modern mobile enterprise. Therefore, our solution needs to be simple, dynamic, and constantly improving to address the challenges our customers face every day. This is what we set out to capture in our new brand — constant, continuous motion and holistic protection through the Wandera Security Cloud, a unified, cloud-first security solution built for the new perimeter.

As we embark on a new decade, it feels like the right time to reflect on how far we’ve come and to share our 20 20 vision (excuse the pun) and product innovation for the future.

Circling back to who we are and why we’re here

Wandera was founded on a simple observation: workers are increasingly remote and need immediate access to their data and applications on the go, but organizations face a complex balance between security and usability. There had to be a better way to meet the challenges of the new perimeter than legacy security architectures. So we built a solution from the ground up, specifically for remote users, and our opening premise was that effective security has to be delivered from the cloud and not be restricted to the remote endpoint. We relied on our extensive experience building scalable cloud services and threat machine learning to develop the world’s first security cloud that’s optimized for remote users, regardless of form factor, device ownership strategy, or where in the world the user is.

We saw the potential for a truly unified security capability that spanned threat protection and content filtering to stop attacks while reducing risk exposure. A truly unified analytics and policy engine could be configured once and applied everywhere, across smartphones, tablets and laptops. Manageability and unification are the key tenets that have stayed with us through our journey. We have built deep integrations with leading UEM providers like Microsoft, IBM, VMware and MobileIron, as well as integrations with other security alliances, threat intelligence exchanges, and incident response platforms. Through these integrations and through our APIs, we have created the most open and flexible solution available, enabling customers to unlock the insights they obtain through our service and introducing them to related external workflows.

Along the way, we worked to define the standard for Mobile Threat Defense (MTD), as recognized by leading analysts who acknowledge our key differentiated capabilities in the cloud and dynamic threat detection. We are now building on these strengths and on our unique cloud architecture to extend our security capability even further.

Where we’re headed: the circle of zero trust

We constantly hear from security leaders that they simply don’t trust remote users with access to highly sensitive, data-rich corporate resources. What if the user’s device has been compromised? How do they ensure contractors are protected? How can they elevate security by keeping resources hidden from anyone other than those who need access?

We put our heads together to tackle this issue and designed a software defined perimeter, leveraging our cloud-first infrastructure to enable zero trust network access. It’s designed to protect any type of corporate resource, whether private cloud, public cloud or SaaS, as well as facilitate easy, secure access to any user, from any device, anywhere in the world. Best of all, as part of the Wandera Security Cloud along with threat defense and data policy, it can provide truly unified protection for our customers.

Closing the loop

As you can see, a lot is new with Wandera in 2020, but some things will always stay the same — namely our core values of brilliance, integrity, innovation and togetherness.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and your trust, and for helping us make this journey. We look forward to returning the favor and helping you achieve your organization’s security goals this year.
